Roannes-Saint-Mary ( Occitan : Roana de Sant Mari ) is a French commune in the department of Cantal and the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes with 1,088 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Aurillac and the canton of Maurs (until 2015: canton of Saint-Mamet-la-Salvetat ).

Roannes-Saint-Mary is located about seven kilometers southwest of Aurillac in the Massif Central , in the Châtaigneraie am Cère , which borders the municipality in the northwest. Roannes-Saint-Mary is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ytrac in the north, Arpajon-sur-Cère in the east and northeast, Prunet in the east, Lafeuillade-en-Vézie in the southeast, Marcolès in the south and southwest, and Saint-Mamet-la-Salvetat in the West and Sansac-de-Marmiesse in the north-west.
