Giou-de-Mamou is a French city and a municipality with 785 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Aurillac and the canton of Vic-sur-Cère (until 2015 Aurillac-4 ).

Giou-de-Mamou belongs to the historic region of Carladès and is located about four kilometers east of the city center of Aurillac . Giou-de-Mamou is surrounded by the neighboring municipality of Saint-Simon in the north, Polminhac in the east and northeast, Yolet in the east, Vézac in the south and southeast, Arpajon-sur-Cère in the south and southwest and Aurillac in the west.
