Junhac is a French municipality with 301 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; administratively it belongs to the arrondissement Aurillac and is part of the canton Arpajon-sur-Cère (until 2015: canton Montsalvy ).

Junhac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sansac-Veinazé in the north, Labesserette in the north and northeast, Montsalvy in the east, Vieillevie in the south, Cassaniouze in the west and southwest and Sénezergues in the west and northwest.
