Karl May Festival

Karl May Festival or Karl May Games are performances of dramatizations of the works of the German writer Karl May , which mostly take place in the open air.

The Karl May Festival took place before and during the Second World War , especially in Rathen in Saxony or in Werder (Havel) .

The most famous Karl May festivals include

There have been or are further Karl May performances (currently more than ten stages in the entire German-speaking area), some based on Elsper or Bad Segeberger models

The quality and range of the productions is very different. It ranges from the action spectacle to the chamber play .
