Kirchheilingen is a municipality in the Unstrut-Hainich district in Thuringia ( Germany ).
geography
Kirchheilingen is located ten kilometers northeast of Bad Langensalza , in a valley basin in the Heilinger Heights . The community belongs to the Bad Tennstedt administrative community . The administrative seat is in the city of Bad Tennstedt .
history
The first record comes from the year 833. The place belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office Langensalza until 1815 and after its cession to Prussia from 1816 to 1944 to the district of Langensalza in the province of Saxony .
In 1913 a private Langensalza small railway was built by house summer residents to Langensalza via Kirchheilingen. This was completely dismantled in 1967 from Haussummer to Kirchheilingen and in 1969.
