Mirte Kraaijkamp (* 25. April 1984 in Venray ) is a former Dutch lightweight - rower and world champion.

Athletic career

The 1.68 m tall Mirte Kraaijkamp only began rowing in 2007. At the 2013 World Championships in Chungju, the Dutch lightweight quadruple with Mirte Kraaijkamp, Maaike Head , Rianne Sigmond and Marie-Anne Frenken won by over four seconds over the rowers from the United States. The following year, Mirte Kraaijkamp, Elisabeth Woerner , Maaike Head and Ilse Paulis won the 2014 World Championships in Amsterdam with a three and a half second lead over the Australians. At the European Championships in 2015 , Kraaijkamp competed in the lightweight single and finished ninth. Three months later she rowed again in the lightweight quad scull at the 2015 World Championships on Lac d'Aiguebelette. Anne Marie Schonk , Mirte Kraaijkamp, ​​Elisabeth Woerner and Marie-Anne Frenken took third place behind the Germans and the British. In 2016 Kraaijkamp rowed in two regattas in the Rowing World Cup in the lightweight single. After the season she ended her career.
