The district of Mirdita (Albanian: Rrethi i Mirditës ) was one of the 36 administrative districts of Albania that were abolished in the summer of 2015 after an administrative reform. The area of ​​the district with an area of ​​867 square kilometers in Lezha Qark today forms the municipality of Mirdita . It comprised the core area of ​​the Mirdita region .

The district had 22,103 inhabitants in 2011. The local authorities, however, stated 38,878 inhabitants (2007). The main town was the town of Rrëshen .
