The district of Kolonja ( Albanian  Rrethi i Kolonjës ) was one of the 36 administrative districts of Albania that were abolished in the summer of 2015 after an administrative reform. The area with an area of ​​805 square kilometers in Qark Korça today forms the municipality of Kolonja . The main town was Erseka . In 2011 there were 11,070 inhabitants in Kolonja.

Kolonja is very remote in the mountainous southeast of the country on the Greek border in a triangle between the Osum river , the Gramoz mountain ( Greek : Grammos) and the Vjosa valley in the south.
