Kreuth is a district of the community Geslau in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village lies on the Kreuthbach, which is a right tributary of the Altmühl . In the east are the Hubfeld and Eggerten . Municipal roads lead to Schwabsroth to the district road AN 7 (2.3 km west), to Dornhausen (1.2 km east) and Hürbel (1.5 km south) each to the AN 5 and to the state road 2250 near Geslau (1 km north).

history

In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Colmberg from 1608, 9 teams were recorded for Kreuth, all of which had the caste office Colmberg as landlord . The High Court exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg . In the 16-point report of the Colmberg Oberamt from 1681, the manorial conditions for Kreuth are unchanged.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 13 properties in Kreuth (2 courtyards, 10 half-courtyards, 1 estate). The high court and the village and community rulership continued to exercise the Vogtamt Colmberg. All properties had the Colmberg caste office as landlord. In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (forge, shepherd's house, crushing house ). At that time there were 14 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the community edict, Kreuth was assigned to the Geslau tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Geslau founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re- ceded to the newly formed rural community of Dornhausen . In 1843 the residents of Kreuth applied for the formation of their own rural community, but this was rejected. Further petitions in 1844 and 1847 were also rejected. On January 1, 1972, Kreuth was incorporated into Geslau as part of the regional reform .
