Larsen Sound ( Inuktitut Ki'muagiaq ) is an arctic strait in the Kitikmeot region of the Nunavut territory, Canada .

The strait is south of Prince of Wales Island , west of the Boothia Peninsula , north of King William Island and east of Gateshead Island .

In the northwest the sound opens to the M'Clintock Channel , to the northeast the Franklin Strait leads to the Peel Sound , in the southeast is the James Ross Strait and to the southwest the strait borders the Victoria Strait .

The body of water was named after Henry Larsen , who first crossed the Northwest Passage from west to east between 1940 and 1942.
