The women's discus throw at the European Athletics Championships in 1969 was held on September 19, 1969 in the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens .

In this discipline there was a double victory for the athletes from the USSR. European champion was Tamara Danilowa . She won by four centimeters over Lyudmila Muravjowa . The GDR athlete Karin Illgen won bronze.
