The men's 110-meter hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in 1987 was held on September 1 and 3, 1987 in the Olympic Stadium in the Italian capital, Rome .
In this competition, the British hurdlers won two medals, silver and bronze. World champion was the US defending champion and 1984 Olympic runner-up Greg Foster . Jonathan Ridgeon came in second . Bronze went to Colin Jackson .

Record improvement
Improved in his first lead on September 1 world champion Greg Foster 's from the first world championships existing WM -record with good wind conditions by two hundredths of a second in 13.20 s. In the semifinals, the runners had to struggle with headwinds, in the final Foster missed the new record with less wind support than in the run-up to a hundredth of a second.
