The women's 100-meter hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in 1987 was held on September 3rd and 4th, 1987 in the Olympic Stadium in the Italian capital, Rome .
In this competition, the hurdlers of the GDR won two medals with silver and bronze. Ginka Sagortschewa became world champion in the Bulgarian World Cup, third in 1983 . Silver went to Gloria Uibel , later Gloria Siebert. The 1986 Vice European Champion, Cornelia Oschkenat , won the bronze medal.
