The list of airports in Switzerland contains all the country's airports and regional airports of Switzerland .
In 2014, around 47.2 million passengers and 542,000 flight movements were recorded at the three national airports. At the 11 regional airports, the volume of traffic over the same period was around 568,000 passengers and 381,000 flight movements.
Explanation of the list
- Name of the airport: Provides the name of the airport and any additional names.
- IATA code: The IATA code consists of a combination of three Latin letters and is used to clearly identify the individual commercial airports. The IATA code is issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
- ICAO code: The ICAO code is issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization and consists of a unique combination of four Latin letters.
- Opening: states the year in which the airport was opened at the current location.
- Passengers: Indicates the total number of passengers at the airport in 2014.
- Flight movements: Indicates the total number of flight movements at the airport for 2014.
- Location: The airport is located in this village.
- Canton: The airport is located in this canton .
- Air traffic control: For controlled airfields, names the organization that is responsible for local control (tower).
- Image: Displays a picture of the airport.
- Position: A red dot shows the location of the airport on the Swiss map.

Others
During the Second World War , the Bern cantonal government planned the construction of the Swiss central airport in Utzenstorf . The project was never realized and in 1945 it was abandoned in favor of Zurich Airport.
