This list of literature on the subject of the Second World War (from September 1939 to September 1945 ) mainly contains works on the entire course of the war in both of the major arenas and its classification in political history.
There is a separate list for the Pacific War .
This list of scientific literature is arranged alphabetically by author and does not include any rating. Furthermore, it does not claim to be complete. Further references can be found in individual articles that are linked in the main article. The research history of the war in Germany and around the world has yet to be presented.
