Ludolf von Estorff

Ludolf Karl Adolf von Estorff (born August 21, 1838 in Berlin ; † October 29, 1912 in Liegnitz ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer , district administrator in the districts of Stallupönen (1868–1871), Eckernförde (1871–1877) and Mettmann (1877–1883 ) as well as district president in the district of Aurich (1892–1902).

Life

Origin and education

Ludolf von Estorff, who belonged to the Lüneburg noble family von Estorff and was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, was born as the son of the Prussian captain and manor owner Hermann von Estorff and his wife Ottilie, née. Born Freiin von Müffling . After attending high school he studied in Berlin from 1857 to 1860 law before October 1, 1860 as Auskultator at the Court of Appeal Kwidzyn entered the Prussian judicial service.

Career

After passing the first state examination and with his appointment as government referendar to the government of Erfurt , von Estorff transferred to the Prussian administrative service on October 24, 1862. After the second state examination (December 16, 1866) he was employed as a government assessor in the Gumbinnen government .

As a result, von Estorff took over the administration of the district offices in Stallupönen (23 August 1868), Eckernförde (19 May 1871) and Mettmann (28 March 1877). From there he moved among appointed Governing Council with 16 September 1883, the government of Cologne and in the same position 16 December 1885 the Government Koblenz . On June 22, 1888, when he was appointed senior president to the high presidium of the Rhine Province in Koblenz , von Estorff also assumed a position that corresponded to that of a district president. With three exceptions, the councilors also held the post of regional president elsewhere. Ludolf von Estorff received on October 11, 1894 appointment to the provincial government in Aurich, his inauguration was followed on November 7, 1894. On June 30, 1902, he appeared there in retirement.

Ludolf von Estorff married Anna von Wasmer (born June 2, 1846 in Eckernförde, † February 19, 1876 ibid) on September 26, 1873, daughter of the Medical Councilor Friedrich von Wasmer and Caroline, née. from Ahlefeldt. His second marriage was on January 7, 1888 in Klagenfurt with Emma von Meding (* July 9, 1856 in Mainz, † August 23, 1911 in Liegnitz), daughter of the Imperial and Royal Austrian Colonel Franz von Meding and his wife, Gabriele , born Countess of Thurn-Valsassina-Como-Vercelli.
