Luis Doreste Blanco (born March 17, 1961 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ) is a Spanish sailor . He is a double Olympic champion in this sport.

Luis Doreste Blanco won the gold medal in the 470 class at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles . He achieved another Olympic victory in 1992 in Barcelona with the Flying Dutchman . He became known to a wider public when he took the Olympic oath at the 1992 Summer Olympics .
Doreste's family is closely connected to sailing. His brothers Gustavo , José Luis and Manuel Doreste had also contested Olympic regattas.
