Marie-Luise Neunecker
Marie-Luise Neunecker (born July 17, 1955 in Erbes-Büdesheim ) is a German horn player .
Life
Marie-Luise Neunecker first studied musicology and German. Later she took up horn studies with Erich Penzel at the Cologne University of Music and Dance .
In 1978 she began as second horn player at the Frankfurt Opera . In 1979 she became principal horn with the Bamberg Symphony. From 1981 to 1989 she played as principal horn with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, now the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra .
Concerts at numerous festivals followed, including a. Munich Biennale , Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival , Marlboro Music Festival and the Wiener Festwochen with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and Sándor Végh . 1995 in the Salzburg Festival she appeared with the Mozarteum -Orchester Salzburg , conducted by Jeffrey Tate on. She is also a frequent guest at the chamber music festival Tensions .
Since 1988 she has been professor for horn at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and since 2004 professor at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin .
György Ligeti wrote his Horn Concerto Hamburg Concerto for Marie-Luise Neunecker , which she premiered in January 2001.
Awards and honors
- 1982 winner of the German Music Competition in Bonn
- 1983 3rd prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich
- 1986 1st prize at the International Competition of the "Concert Artists Guild" in New York .
- 2013 Frankfurt Music Prize
Recordings
In addition, numerous recordings were made, including the Strauss and Mozart Horn Concerts. Hindemith concert with RSO Frankfurt and Russian horn concerts ( Glasunow , Glière and Schebalin ) with the Bamberg Symphony .
