Marshall Bradley “Brad” Webb (born November 27, 1961 ) is a Lieutenant General of the United States Air Force (USAF) and since August 2014 Commander of the NATO Special Operations Headquarters (NSHQ) in Mons , Belgium .

Webb achieved a certain level of media awareness in his role as Deputy Commanding General of the United States Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), which he held between 2010 and 2012. education

Webb graduated from the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in biology . His further education includes Masters degrees in International Relations from Troy State University (1994) and in National Security Strategy from National War College (2004). Military career

Webb was trained as a helicopter pilot from July 1984 to July 1985 at Fort Rucker and Kurtland AFB . From August 1985 to November 1987, he served in the 40th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron. He was then transferred to the 20th Special Operations Squadron until July 1994. His next position was the 352nd Special Operations Group for three years. From June 2004 he was Deputy Director for one year, responsible for the Northern Gulf at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs . Next, Webb was Commander of the 352nd Special Operations Group and Joint Special Operations Air Component on RAF Mildenhall . This was followed by the command post from July 2007 to November 2008 at the 1st Special Operations Wing . In 1996, Webb was also honored with the Cheney Award , which has been presented annually since 1927 to a pilot for special bravery during a humanitarian mission .
