Maximilian Forster (born September 19, 1990 in Landshut ) is a German ice hockey player who currently plays for EV Landshut in the Oberliga Süd .

Forster began his career in his hometown at EV Landshut. There he went through all the youth department and was part of the junior team from the 2004/05 season, with which the then 14-year-old was active in the German youth league. After showing good performances in the DNL and continuously improving, he played for the first time in the 2007/08 season for the professional team, which was then called Landshut Cannibals, in the 2nd Bundesliga. In total, he was used 14 times this season and scored one goal. Since summer 2008 he has been part of the Cannibals' regular squad. At the end of November 2009 he signed a two-year contract with the Straubing Tigers , from the German Ice Hockey League , which is valid from the start of the 2010/11 season . After the contract expired, the winger returned to his home club Landshut Cannibals for the 2012/13 season , for which he initially played in the 2nd Bundesliga , but switched to the Bavarian league rivals ESV Kaufbeuren during the season . In the summer of 2013 he returned to Lower Bavaria, who called themselves again EV Landshut , and played for them in the DEL2 . After the Landshutern was refused the license for the 2015/16 season due to a lack of profitability , he went with them to the third-class Oberliga Süd .

International

Forster took part in the 2008 U18 World Cup with the German U18 national team. Later he was a regular player in the German U20 team and took part in the 2009 U20 World Junior Championship in the top division . There he played three games and scored an assist . However, he could not prevent the German team from relegating to Division I. In the following year he played with the German offspring in Division I and achieved immediate promotion.
