Michael Vincent Keane (born January 11, 1993 in Stockport ) is an English football player .
Club career
Michael Keane made his debut for Manchester United on October 25, 2011 in a 3-0 away win over Aldershot Town in the 2011/12 League Cup . After two more appearances in the League Cup the following season, the 19-year-old moved to Leicester City on 6 November 2012 together with his teammate Jesse Lingard on loan . For the second division, he played twenty-two league games during the 2012/13 Football League Championship and scored two goals. His first league goal succeeded Keane on March 5, 2013, when he scored the 1-1 equalizer against Leeds United in stoppage time .
On November 28, 2013, the 20-year-old defender was awarded again. This time to the second division club Derby County .
In March 2014, Keane moved to the Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season .
On September 1, 2014 Keane moved to the end of the year on loan to the Premier League newly promoted Burnley FC . After ten assignments, he was signed on January 8, 2015 and given a three-and-a-half year contract until June 30, 2018. Although he was relegated with Burnley at the end of the season, but as a second division champion could immediately rise again with Burnley. He was used in 44 of the 46 league games.
English national team
Michael Keane, who previously worked for Irish youth teams, was nominated for the English squad for the 2012 U-19 European Football Championship in Estonia in the summer of 2012 .
