Michael Beck (hip-hop musician)
Michael "Michi" Beck (born December 11, 1967 in Stuttgart ), also known under the artist names Hausmarke , Dee Jot Hausmarke and formerly King Burger B , is a German musician and member of the hip-hop formation Die Fantastischen Vier . In addition to the spoken word, he takes on the role of DJ and MC in the band . He is also part of the Turntablerocker duo .
Life
Michael Beck was already interested in disco music in his school days, which was not popular at the time. After the 11th grade he left the Karls-Gymnasium in Stuttgart and, at the request of his parents, did an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk from 1987 to 1990, which he did not like. It was clear to him that he wanted to become an artist and so he bought a large collection of records and taught himself to DJ. The first contact with Thomas D , Andreas Rieke and Smudo was made in mid-1987 and the Terminal Team , today's Fantastischen Vier, came into being . He also took over the German dubbing of the skipper in Madagascar , Madagascar 2 , Madagascar 3: Escape through Europe and The Penguins from Madagascar . After The BossHoss and Nena left , Michael Beck and Smudo have been a coach at The Voice of Germany since 2014 .
Beck lives with his wife and two daughters in Berlin .

In 1998 he produced his solo album Weltweit together with his DJ colleague Thomilla in the Benztown Studios in Stuttgart. The two first met in 1994 in a record store in Stuttgart and discovered that they were both interested in the same music and had a lot in common. The first result of their collaboration was Worldwide where the title can be taken literally. Hausmarke got reinforcements from various black music acts. In addition to Beck's Stuttgart colleagues Afrob and Max von Freundeskreis , MC Rene , Billy Allen and bandmate Smudo also came to the studio to record a few tracks with him. The album went global through the collaboration with Wyclef Jean ( Fugees ), Melle Mel & Scorpio ( Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five ) and Yvette Michelle. Each of them can be heard on a joint piece with house brand on the CD. The following singles were released from the album:
