NGC 4064 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa and is located in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is an estimated 39 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 4110 , NGC 4040 , NGC 4048 , NGC 4049 .
The object was discovered on December 29, 1861 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
