NGC 5387 is a 14.0 mag bright spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Virgo . It is estimated to be 231 million light years from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on May 8, 1864 .
