Nadawki ( German  Nadafken , 1938 to 1945 Kuppenhof ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the urban and rural municipality of Mikołajki (Nikolaiken) in the Powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).

Geographical location

Nadawki is located in the heart of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , nine kilometers southeast of the district town of Mrągowo ( German  Sensburg ).

history

The small town, called Nadawken after 1785 and Nadafken until 1938 , originally only consisted of a large courtyard. It was considered a Vorwerk within the manor district of Barranowen ( Polish Baranowo ) in the East Prussian district of Sensburg . In 1867 the place had 87, in 1885 80 and 1905 only 65 inhabitants.

On September 30, 1928, the Vorwerk was Nadafken as part of Gutsbezirks Barra Owen together with the Gutsbezirk Vollmar stone (to 1895 Good Nadafken , Polish Nowe Nadawki , no longer exists) in the rural community of Barra Owen (1938-1945 Hoverbeck , Polish Baranowo incorporated). From June 3 (officially confirmed on July 16) 1938, Nadafken had the name "Kuppenhof", which was changed for political and ideological reasons.

As a result of the war, the place came to Poland in 1945 with all of southern East Prussia and was given the Polish form of name “Nadawki”. Today it is a locality within the urban and rural municipality Mikołajki (Nikolaiken) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then assigned to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 1945 Nadafken resp. Kuppenhof parish in the Protestant Church of Barranowen in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of St. Adalbert in Sensburg in the Diocese of Warmia . Today Nadawki belongs to the Evangelical Church Mikołajki in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland and to the Catholic parish Baranowo in the Diocese of Ełk in the Polish Catholic Church .
