history
Today's Grabek colony originally only consisted of a large courtyard as Neuhof Grabowken . Until 1945 it was a place to live in the Grabowken community ( Grabówka in Polish ) and thus a small town in the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (from 1905: Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
When the parent community Grabowken was renamed "Buchenhagen" on August 26, 1929, Neuhof Grabowken was also given the name "Neuhof-Buchenhagen". In 1945 the city came in consequence of the war with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland . Since then he has had the Polish name form "Grabek" and is a place within the urban and rural community Mikołajki (Nikolaiken) in Powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then assigned to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
