The name Negroamaro di Terra d'Otranto stands for red and rosé wines from the southern Italian provinces of Brindisi , Lecce and Taranto in the Apulia region . The rosé wines are also developed as sparkling wines ( Frizzante ) and sparkling wines ( Spumante ). The red wines can also carry the “Riserva” label. The wines have had a protected designation of origin ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 2011 , the last update of which was published on March 7, 2014.
