Castel del Monte (DOC wine)

The name Castel del Monte combines wines with DOC status that are produced in the southern Italian province of Barletta-Andria-Trani in the Apulia region . The wine has had a "Protected Designation of Origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1971 , the last update of which was published on March 7, 2014.

Growing area

Cultivation is permitted in the municipality of Minervino Murge and in parts of the municipalities of Andria , Canosa di Puglia , Corato , Trani , Ruvo di Puglia , Terlizzi , Bitonto , Palo del Colle , Toritto and Binetto .

In 2017, 38,330 hectoliters of DOC wine were produced there.
