Orta Nova (wine)

The name Orta Nova DOC stands for red and rosé wines from the southern Italian municipality of Orta Nova in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region . The wines have had a protected designation of origin ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1984 , the last update of which was published on March 7, 2014.

Growing area

The growing area is very small. Cultivation is permitted within the province of Foggia, within the municipality of Orta Nova and Ordona and in parts of the municipalities of Ascoli Satriano , Carapelle , Foggia and Manfredonia .

Orta Nova Rosso

  • Color: from ruby ​​red to with orange reflections due to aging
