Alezio (wine)
Alezio is a red wine from the southern Italian province of Lecce in the Apulia region . The wine has had a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1983 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014.

At least 80% of the wine must be made from Negroamaro grapes; A maximum of 20% other red grape varieties ( Malvasia Nera di Lecce , Sangiovese and / or Montepulciano ) may be added - individually or together.
Growing area
Cultivation is permitted within the province of Lecce in the municipalities of Alezio and Sannicola and in parts of the municipalities of Gallipoli and Tuglie .
