Neusiedl is a locality in Lower Austria and a Katastralgemeinde of the district Zwettl belonging municipality Zwettl Austria . According to the 2001 census, the cadastral community had 49 inhabitants on an area of ​​1.22 km².

location

The village of Neusiedl is located off the main roads, on the L8251 state road between the Unterrosenauerwald and the village of Rosenau at a distance of about 10 km northwest of the city center of Zwettl. It is connected to the Austrian intercity bus network through the post bus stop in the neighboring village of Rosenau . The cadastral area borders on Jagenbach in the north, Rosenau Dorf in the east, Unterrosenauerwaldhäuser in the south and southwest and Purken in the west .

Neusiedl was first mentioned in a document in 1280 as Nevsidel . The name means something like "in the newly created settlement area".
