Lower Neustift is a place in Lower Austria and is in the same cadastral of the district Zwettl belonging municipality Zwettl Austria . According to the 2001 census, the cadastral community had 300 inhabitants on an area of ​​9.03 km².

location

The village of Niederneustift is located off the main roads on the L 74 , at a distance of 8.4 km as the crow flies west of the city center of Zwettl. It is connected to the Austrian intercity bus network by the Postbus . The cadastral area borders in the north on Rosenau Dorf , in the east on Negers and Rosenau Schloss , in the south on the cadastral community Oberneustift, which belongs to the municipality of Groß Gerungs, and in the west on the cadastral community of the same name, which is also part of the municipality of Groß Gerungs.

The highest elevation in the municipality is the Triebschneiderberg with a height of 735  m .

history

Population development

Niederneustift has been settled since 1712 and belonged to the Rosenau manor until the revolution of 1848/49 and the subsequent formation of the community (1850).

In the Kuttengraben district, which consists of seven houses, there is a privately owned chapel that was built around 1800 and renovated in 2007.

The Institute for Ethnic Music Therapy is located in Niederneustift and, in cooperation with the International Academy for Holistic Medicine, deals with non-European music-related treatment concepts and their possible integration into Western cultural areas. Furthermore, the Samani Institute for ancient knowledge and personality development is located in the village, which regularly organizes lectures and seminars on mental techniques, alchemy , magic , shamanism and medicinal plants and herbs .
