Koblhof is a village in Lower Austria and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Zwettl-Lower Austria . According to the 2001 census, the cadastral community had 50 inhabitants on an area of ​​1.58 km².

geography

Koblhof is about 1.76 kilometers as the crow flies southeast of the city center of Zwettl. The municipality borders to the west and north on the cadastral municipality of Zwettl Stadt, in the northeast on Rudmanns , east on Ratschenhof and in the southwest on Großweißbach. The highest point is the Kleine Kobel with an altitude of 893 m.

history

Koblhof was first mentioned in a document in 1499 as Kobelhof . The name means "farm on a hill". It is a former farm yard of the Zwettler Stift , which was divided into several properties in 1787.
