Ottenschlag is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Zwettl-Niederösterreich in the district of Zwettl in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 27 building areas with 12,861 m² and 25 gardens on 8,010 m² in the cadastral community Ottenschlag , in 1989/1990 there were 17 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 41 and in 2009/2010 there were 28 buildings on 54 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 157 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 85 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 154 hectares and 88 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 152 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 88 hectares. Ottenschlag's average soil climate number is 28.1 (as of 2010).
