Böhmhöf is a place in the Waldviertel in Lower Austria and a locality and cadastral municipality of the municipality of Zwettl-Niederösterreich in the district of Zwettl .

Böhmhöf is located on Zwettler Straße (B 36), about 4 km south of the city center of Zwettl and is connected to the Austrian intercity bus network by the Postbus on the B 36 .
According to the 2001 census, the place had 41 inhabitants on an area of 0.43 km².
The municipality borders the cadastral communities of Zwettl Stadt to the north , Großweißbach to the east and south and Gschwendt to the west .
history
Böhmhöf was first mentioned in a document in 1447 as Prait Erlach , which suggests extensive alder stocks . The form of the name Peham hoff has been handed down from 1498 , which means something like: "Farm that is named after a man from Bohemia ".
