Edelhof is a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Zwettl-Niederösterreich in the district of Zwettl in Lower Austria .
The Edelhof, located directly next to the Rudmanns settlement area , is formally a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Zwettl, but can hardly be listed as a separate location due to the lack of inhabitants. There you will find the former Edelhof estate, which has housed an agricultural college since 1873, the Waldviertel management, a trotting track and, since 2008, the Zwettl football stadium.
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 17 building areas with 14,653 m² and 10 gardens on 32,835 m² in the cadastral community Edelhof , in 1989/1990 there were 9 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 20 and in 2009/2010 there were 15 buildings on 26 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 171 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 7 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 162 hectares and 11 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 147 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 13 hectares. Edelhof's average soil climate rating is 28.5 (as of 2010).
