Rieggers is a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Zwettl-Niederösterreich in the district of Zwettl in Lower Austria .

Günter Wielander has been the mayor since June 1, 2010 , before Erwin Huber had been in office since 1976.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 107 building areas with 52,874 m² and 23 gardens on 7,880 m² in the cadastral community of Rieggers , in 1989/1990 there were 110 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 230 and in 2009/2010 there were 131 buildings on 232 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 444 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 120 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 437 hectares and 124 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 423 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 125 hectares. The average soil climate number from Rieggers is 23.8 (as of 2010).
