Koppenzeil is a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Zwettl-Niederösterreich in the district of Zwettl , Lower Austria .

Koppenzeil extends south of the city center on the Kamp , and includes the Zwettler district Propstei , including the grassland on the river for almost 2½ kilometers, to the Zwettl power station and the Schwarzalm inn nearby. The cadastral community covers 22.04  hectares .

The place name appears in 1437 as Koppenczeyl ("alley that is named after a man named Koppo"). A street with that name no longer exists today.
