The Norges Fotballforbund (NFF - German Norwegian Football Association , English The Football Association of Norway ) is the top football organization in Norway. It was founded in 1902.
The association organizes the men's and women's national teams and the top division . Terje Svendsen has been President of the NFF since 2016 and Kai-Erik Arstad is General Secretary. In 2017, 1,844 clubs belonged to the association. 371,910 active players played in 30,412 registered teams. Of these, 261,486 were male and 110,424 were female (30 percent).
2,927 authorized referees are available to direct the game, 95 of them at the highest association level.
The importance of futsal is growing especially in the youth sector: in 2017 there were 169 adult, 295 youth and 421 children's teams.
The NFF belongs to the Norwegian Sports Federation , joined FIFA in 1908 and UEFA in 1954.
