Novoje ( Russian Новое , German Trimmau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg region (Prussia) ) and belongs to the Prawdinskoje gorodskoje posselenije (municipality of Prawdinsk (Friedland (Eastern Pr.) ) In Pravdinsk Rajon ( Friedland district )).

Geographical location

Nowoje is located two kilometers west of Druzhba (Allenburg) on an impassable side road that before 1945 led to Gundau, a place that no longer exists today. There is no train connection.

history

South of the place once called Trimmau in the direction of the - no longer existing - place Schallen there was a Prussian fortress on the formerly so-called Zickelberg an der Alle (Russian: Lawa) , which was used until 1256. Then the Teutonic Order took it over and redesigned it according to its purposes. The location was later given up in favor of the Wildhaus in Allenburg (Russian: Druschba).

On June 13, 1873 was Trimmau seat and the eponymous site of the newly built office district Trimmau which until 1945 for the district Wehlau in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged. Jägersdorf, Klein Engelau, Schallen and Luxhausen, which no longer exist today, were among the first rural communities or manor districts of the district, the latter being incorporated into Klein Enegalu in 1929.

In 1910 the manor district of Trimmau had 169 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928, Trimmau gave up its independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Schallen (no longer existing today).

As a result of the Second World War , Trimmau came to the Soviet Union in 1945 and was renamed "Novoje" in 1947. Today, due to structural and administrative reforms, the place is classified as a "settlement" (Russian: possjolok) in the Pravdinskoje gorodskoje posselenije (municipality of Pravdinsk (Friedland) ) in Pravdinsk district in Kaliningrad Oblast .

church

Ecclesiastically, Trimmau was parished to Allenburg (Russian: Druzhba) due to its predominantly Protestant population and was in the church district of Wehlau (Russian: Snamensk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today the reference to Druzhba has remained for Novoje , where a new evangelical congregation was established in the 1990s, which is a branch congregation of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and belongs to the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER).
