Peredowoje ( Russian Передовое , German Postehnen ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg region (Prussia) ) and belongs to the Pravdinskoje gorodskoje posselenije (municipality Prawdinsk (Friedland (Ostpr.) )) In Pravdinsk district ( Friedland district ).

Geographical location

Peredowoje is located three kilometers southwest of today's Rajons capital and former district town Prawdinsk (Friedland) on a side road (until 1945 German Reichsstraße 142 ) that runs from Prawdinsk to the Russian-Polish border area near the now no longer existing village of Schönbruch (Russian part: Schirokoje, Polish part: Szczurkowo) leads. There is no train connection.

history

The place previously called Postehnen belonged to the newly established Mertensdorf district (Russian: Tjomkino) in the Friedland district (from 1927 Bartenstein district (East Prussia) ) in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia from June 11, 1874 . In 1910 there were only 15 residents in the rural community of Postehnen, at the same time there were 158 in the manor district of Postehnen.

On November 1, 1928, the Postehnen manor district was incorporated into the municipality of Friedland , followed by the Postehnen rural community on April 1, 1929. This place gave up its independence.

As a result of the Second World War , Postehnen came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia and was renamed Peredowoje in 1950. Until 2009 it was integrated into the Poretschinski Soviet (Dorfsowjet Poretschje (Allenau) ) within the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad since 1991/92 and has since been classified as a “settlement” (Russian: possjolok) due to a structural and administrative reform within the Pravdinskoje gorodskoje posselenije (municipality of Pravdinsk (Friedland) ) in the Pravdinsk district .

church

Before 1945, the population of Postehnen was predominantly of Protestant denomination. The village was in the parish Friedland (Russian: Prawdinsk) in the same church district within the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Prussian Union of churches the parish. Even today, Peredowoje has a church orientation towards the parish in Pravdinsk , which is now a branch parish of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER).
