Novotrojitske ( Ukrainian Новотроїцьке ; Russian Новотроицкое Novotroitskoje ) is an urban-type settlement in the southeast of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kherson with 10,600 inhabitants (2016).

geography

Novotrojitske is located 164 km southeast of the oblast capital Kherson and 119 km southwest of Melitopol . The closest train station is in Novooleksiyivka, 30 km away .

In addition to Novotrojitske, the settlement council also includes the villages Blahowishchenka (Ukrainian Благовіщенка ) with about 370 inhabitants and Sakharivka (Ukrainian Захарівка ) with about 120 inhabitants.

history

The settlement founded in 1816 under the name Velykyj Sarabulat (Ukrainian Великий Сарабулат ) has been a district center since 1923 and has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1958.
