Finland took part in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles with a delegation of 40 male athletes in 36 competitions in five sports.

The Finnish athletes won five gold, eight silver and twelve bronze medals. Olympic champions were the athletes Volmari Iso-Hollo over 3000 meters obstacle, Lauri Lehtinen over 5000 meters and Matti Järvinen in the javelin throw as well as the wrestler Hermanni Pihlajamäki in the featherweight of freestyle wrestling and Väinö Kokkinen in the middleweight of the Greco-Roman style. The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the decathlete Akilles Järvinen .
