The United Kingdom participated as Great Britain in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles with a delegation of 108 athletes (91 men and 17 women) in 50 competitions in ten competitions.

The British athletes won four gold, seven silver and five bronze medals, placing Great Britain in eighth place in the medal table. Olympic champions were the athletes Tommy Hampson over 800 meters and Tommy Green in the 50 km walk as well as the rowers Lewis Clive and Hugh Edwards in a two without a helmsman and John Badcock , Hugh Edwards, Jack Beresford and Rowland George in a foursome without a helmsman. In the art competitions that did not count towards the medal table, John Hughes secured another gold medal in the competition for urban design. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete David Cecil .
