Ondrašová (until 1927 also "Andrašová" in Slovak; German Andreasdorf , Hungarian Turócandrásfalva - until 1907 Andrásfalu ) is a municipality in the north-center of Slovakia with 84 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located in the Okres Turčianske Teplice , part of the Žilinský kraj and is part of the traditional Turiec landscape .
geography
The community is located in the western part of the torrent basin at the transition to the Little Fatra to the west , at a tributary of the Polerieka stream . The center of the village is at an altitude of 480 m nm and is 11 kilometers from Turčianske Teplice and 18 kilometers from Martin .
Neighboring municipalities are Kláštor pod Znievom in the west and north, Moškovec in the east and Abramová in the south.
history
In today's municipality there was an urn field of the Lausitz culture .
Ondrašová was first mentioned in writing in 1252 as molendinum Andréé and got the name from a mill that belonged to a certain Andreas . From the 13th to the 18th century the village was part of the Zniev Castle territory and at the end of the 18th century it was owned by the Chamber. In 1720 there were 21 households in the village. In 1785 the village had 23 houses and 182 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 13 houses and 176 inhabitants who were employed as farmers.
The place in Turz County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918 and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia. In the first Czechoslovak Republic, too, agriculture was the main source of income for the population.

According to the 2011 census, Ondrašová had 76 inhabitants, 72 of whom were Slovaks . Four residents did not give any information about their ethnicity .
50 residents supported the Roman Catholic Church, ten residents the Evangelical Church AB and one resident of the Greek Catholic Church. 11 residents had no denomination and four residents had no denomination.
