Kláštor pod Znievom (until 1927 in Slovak "Kláštor pod Zniovom"; German monastery (-Kühhorn) , Hungarian Znióváralja - older also Klastorznióváralja ) is a municipality in central Slovakia, southwest of the city of Martin .
It was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1113 as Villa sancti Ypoliti and consists of the main town Kláštor pod Znievom ( monastery (-Kühhorn) ) and the town of Lazany, which was incorporated in 1971 .
