Budiš (German Budisch , Hungarian Turócborkút - until 1907 Budis ) is a municipality in Okres Turčianske Teplice within Žilinský kraj in Slovakia with about 200 inhabitants.
The place is located in the southwest of the traditional Turz landscape at the foot of the Žiar Mountains on the Jasenica stream , which flows into the Turiec river after a few kilometers . Budiš is located off the national road 519 and is 11 kilometers from Turčianske Teplice , 21 kilometers from Prievidza and 30 kilometers from Martin .
Budiš was founded by the Wallachs at the beginning of the 16th century, but abandoned after a while and only revived in 1563. It was owned by the Horváth and Rakovský families , had a mill and a saw, and the inhabitants were engaged in forestry and handicrafts.
Since 1964, the Budiš mineral water has been bottled in a bottling plant from the local springs .
