Pandia (also Jupiter LXV) is one of the smaller moons of the planet Jupiter .
discovery
Pandia was discovered in 2017 by astronomers Scott S. Sheppard , David J. Tholen, and Chad Trujillo . It was temporarily given the designation S / 2017 J 4 and was named on August 23, 2019 by the International Astronomical Union after Pandia , the daughter of Zeus and the moon goddess Selene in Greek mythology .

Pandia orbits Jupiter with a major semi-axis of approx. 11.5 million kilometers in approx. 252 days. The track has an eccentricity of 0.18. The orbit incline is 28.15 °.

Based on the brightness of the object, the diameter can be estimated to be about 1 km.
