This discography is an overview of the musical works of the German pop singer , songwriter and music producer Peter Orloff . Orloff's most successful publication is the author and production participation for Bernd Clüvers The Boy with the Harmonica with around two million units sold. Orloff's participation in the author and production of Peter Maffay's Du and Clüver's Der kleine Prinz (An Angel whose name is longing) also developed into million sellers . The singles Der Junge mit der Harmonica and Der kleine Prinz (An Angel, who is called Sehnsucht) sold a million times each in Germany alone and are therefore among the best-selling hits and among the best-selling singles in Germany .
While Orloff has had some number one successes and top 10 hits in the DA-CH countries as an author and producer , he did not succeed as an interpreter himself. He reached the German single charts with 16 interpretations, but he did not have a higher chart rating than position 16 ( a girl forever ). In Austria, only two of his singles reached the charts, with position 16 ( City Girl ) also being the highest chart rating. In Switzerland none of his singles reached the charts. Orloff celebrated his greatest chart success as an interpreter in Belgium in 1971 with his single A Girl Forever , where the single reached the top of the charts.
