Heinz Pollay
Heinz Pollay (born February 4, 1908 in Köslin / Pomerania , † March 14, 1979 in Munich ) was a German dressage rider and Olympic champion .
Life
Initially, Pollay worked for the national police. There he began to ride in 1932. From Otto Lörke he was at the Cavalry School Hannover fetched. In 1935 he joined the Wehrmacht . After the Second World War , Pollay worked for the Max Planck Society . He became head of the public relations department in the general administration of the Max Planck Society. He retired in 1973.
Sports
In 1936 he was at the Olympic Games in Berlin on Kronos both individually and with the team Olympic champion in dressage riding.
In 1952 he was able to win bronze with Adular at the Olympic Games in Helsinki with the team again.
Pollay worked as a dressage judge for the FEI . At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he took the oath for the referees at the opening ceremony.
